A little insight into netball, it is played by 2 groups of seven players which consist of a Goal Keeper (GK), Goal Defence (GD), Wing attack (WA), wing defence (WD), Centre (C), Goal attack (GA) and Goal Shooter (GS). Within the groups, half the team are attackers and the other half are defenders, with the main players being centre (C) on both teams. Centre is able to runs the whole court as he or she carries the ball up and down the court in order to get a goal.
Netball was a selective sport played by girls in primary school however going through high school and now at university, both females and males are now playing the sport. Netball is a competitive sport like other sports however in saying that, it is a fun and enjoyable sport. Netball is similar to basketball however it consists of standing still and not being able to bounce the ball across the court like basketball. Netball has boundaries where each player is able to cross only sections of the court. In netball, players wear bibs in order to identify the position they are playing.
